Donald Alexander, 76 passed away peacefully Saturday, February 19th surrounded by family. Don was born on March 14, 1945 to Dora and Harold Alexander in High Wycombe, England.
Don grew up in Kentucky and Ohio. He was one of nine children. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Don served two tours in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. He moved back to the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area where he lived and worked for many years. Don spent almost 30 years with Glidden, a paint company, serving in various roles. His roles included salesman, branch manager and district manager which were located in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Don retired from Glidden/Devoe allowing him to move back to Kentucky and in 2013, to Gallatin, Tennessee. Don had a passion for cooking and would always have something yummy for his visitors.
He is survived by his son (Michael), daughter-in-law (Melissa), grandson (Evan), granddaughter (Caleigh), five sisters (Maria, Mary, Donna, Daisy, Debbie) and one brother (Dennis).
Visitation will be held at Crestview Funeral home on March 3rd from 5pm to 8pm.
The funeral will be held at Our Lady Of The Lake on March 4th at 11am and internment immediately following at Crestview Memorial Gardens.
