Darleen Sue Petitt, age 67 of Cottontown passed from this life on December 18, 2017 at St. Thomas Hospital Midtown after a battle with complications from cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evirt and Helen Petitt. She is survived by her siblings, Joyce (Terry) Durrett of Cottontown, Linda Green of Waco, Texas, Bruce (Brenda)Petitt of China Spring, Texas and Evirt Petitt of Cottontown; nephews and nieces, Jeff Petitt of Cottontown, Jana (Chet) Caffrey of Cross Plains, Jody (Jennifer) Durrett of Cottontown, Jelessa Bowman of Waco, Texas and Betsy (Grant) Starey of Wimberley, Texas; great nieces and nephews, Jalayne, Jayna and Jaylen Bowman of Waco, Texas, Dallas and Kristin Caffrey of Cross Plains, Dane and Brayden Petitt of Gallatin, Joseph, Joshua and Jessica Durrett of Cottontown, and Emma, Clint and Clyde Starey of Wimberley, Texas. She is also survived by aunts, Fonetta Simmons of Thornton, Texas, Evie McGhee of Ukiah, California, Dorothy Petitt of Elm Mott, Texas; and numerous loving cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, December 21st at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Crestview Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Bowers officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens with Jeffery Petitt, Chet Caffrey, Jody Durrett, Keith Petitt, Chris Petitt and Cary Petitt serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her great nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, December 20th from 6-8 P.M. and Thursday from 12 P.M. until service time.
