SCHREIBER, Charles Herman age 87, Nashville, July 18, 2009. Preceded in death by parents, Tressa Anger and Frank Schreiber; sisters, Glena Armstrong; brothers Bob, Carl, Pete and Richard Schreiber. Survived by loving wife of 41 years, Clara Schreiber; sisters, Esther Basinger, Sharon Ruby and Barbara Hostetter; daughter, Robbie Dickerson John Sr. Oliphant; son, James C. Carol Schreiber; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Carmen Wurtz. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. He was an active member of the Lions club in Freeland, MI and two Lions Clubs in Nashville. He was a truck driver for R.E. West Freight Line and Swan Drug Company and retired at age 82. He was also a member of Gladstone Church of Christ. The funeral service will be at 3 pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Rick Mosley and Jerry Maxwell officiating. Honorary Pallbearers: Calvin and Roy Hooper, Gladstone Church of Christ Family, Dr. Gertrude Stone and Staff, Dr. Charles McKay and Staff, Odyssey Healthcare and Bethany Rehab. Active Pallbearers: John Oliphant, Jr., Jason Oliphant, Sonny Hooper, Chuck Meadows, Kevin Hooper and Archie Kelly. Interment at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Gladstone Church of Christ, 2124 Gladstone Ave., Nashville, TN 37211 or Odyssey Hospice, 1400 Donelson Pk, Nashville, TN 37217.
