JOHNSON, Charlene Langley, 73, November 15, 2010. Currently serves as President of both Crockett's Forge Seat Chapter of the Daughters of War of 1812 and the Clarendon Chapter of Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. She also currently holds the office of Recording and Correspondence Secretary of the Middle Plantation Chapter of the Daughters of the American Colonies and has served in the past as Registrar and Regent of the Cumberland Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in which she still holds membership. On the State level, she serves as Curator for the Daughters of 1812 and as Historian for the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. Mrs. Johnson is a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Nashville. Preceded in death by her father, Charley F. Langley; brothers, Jerry P. Langley and Dale J. Langley. Survived by husband, Ben Johnson; mother, Nida Mae Bell Langley of Murfreesboro; sister, Denise L. Jim Moran of Hermitage; brother, Charley L. Jamie Langley of Murfreesboro; sister-in-law, Linda F. Langley of Lawrenceburg; and nephews, Justin R. Langley, Alex C. Moran and Andrew J. Langley. The funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, November 19, 2010 at West Harpeth Funeral Home with The Rev. Brian Rossbert officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
