Catherine Kennedy

KENNEDY, Catherine H. Tipton, age 86 of Rose Bud, AR passed away January 26, 2009. Born June 25, 1922, the 5th child of Arthur A. and Katherine Balsters Tipton in Newkirk, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Kennedy, Sr.; both parents; brother, Keith Tipton; and sister, Claudine Behara. She is survived by her daughter, Murietta K. Bill Simmons, of Nashville; son, Chief Master Ret. Robert L. Chong Kennedy, Jr., of Sumter, SC; grandsons, Aaron Colleen and James Lindsey Simmons, both of Nashville; sisters, Dorys Peters of Newkirk, OK; Venita Peters, Ponca City, OK; and Bertha Smith of Silver City, NM; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, January 29 from 4-8 P.M. at West Harpeth Funeral Home with a Rosary Service at 6:30 P.M. by Deacon John Casey. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, January 31 from 11 A.M.-2 P.M. at Olmstead Funeral Home in Heber Springs, AR where funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. with interment to follow in Martin Cemetery.
