Brenda Caldwell Mercer- age 68 of Gallatin, TN passed away August 16, 2015.
Brenda had a nurturing and patient spirit. She was a loving person with a passion for taking care of others. She worked in a nursing home for most of her career. She took as much time with her patients as she needed and built many lasting relationships with them.
When she wasn't caring for others she enjoyed playing bingo, decorating and taking care of her flowers.
She will forever be remembered as a strong person who worked hard and loved her children and grandchildren. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Notley and Mattie Caldwell; brothers, Thomas, Billy, Robert, Notley, Jr., and Rowland Caldwell; ex-husband, Charles Miles.
She is survived by her children, Teresa (Ronnie) Case, Reba (Raymond) Hess, Tracy Howell, Charles Miles, Jr., Melissa Brown and Donna (Tim) Tucker all of Gallatin; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Scott of Dickson, TN and Mary (Leonard) Mangrum of Portland, TN.
A life celebration service will be held on Wednesday August 19, 2015 at 2pm in the chapel of Crestview Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 18, 2015 from 2-8pm and on Wednesday prior to the service from 12-2pm at Crestview Funeral Home 1623 Hwy 109 N Gallatin, TN 37066 (615) 452-1943 crestviewfh.com
