Billy Raines

RAINES, Billy Roy "Poppa" - Age 58 years, passed from this life on February 20, 2012. Billy was a loving son, husband, dad, and brother, who will always be a part of every life he touched. He was a devout VOLUNTEER. He was a longtime employee of Metro Nashville. Preceded in death by father, Harry Raines. Survived by wife of 32 years, Debi Raines; children, Tanaka Robert Hamilton, and Stephen Mandy Raines; grandchildren, Alissa, Mikayla, Katie, Elijah, and Coleson; mother, Stella Raines; siblings, Jean Billy Lee Mitchell, Sue Danny Kilburn, and Barry Judy Raines; and a host of extended family. The Life Celebration service will be on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 12noon at the West Harpeth Funeral Home with Brother Owen Powell officiating. Interment at Middle TN Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Metro Water Services. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1-8pm, and on Thursday from 10am until the service hour at WEST HARPETH
