BISTOWISH, Bernadette Rita Lawhon May 25, 1920- December 2, 2006. Born to Alvin and Ethel Mathern Lawhon in New Orleans, LA. She attended Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans. She married Joseph M. Bistowish, Jr. MD in 1942. She is survived by her husband Dr. Joseph Bistowish, Jr., daughter, Gwenn Resha; son-in-law, Louis Resha; grandchildren, Bernadette and Michal Resha. Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 7, 2006 at 1 PM at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice 1718 Patterson St. Nashville TN.
