LENZ, Barbara A. Savoie – Born in Cohoes, NY, the daughter of Leopold and Agnes Savoie both deceased. Barbara was a registered nurse in Saratoga for many years. In 2007, she and her husband, Joe, moved to Hendersonville, TN. They became parishioners of Our Lady of the Lake where she was President of the Olifantus Society and taught third grade CCD. The church community became her family. Mrs. Lenz was an avid reader and member of the Hendersonville Library Book Club. She enjoyed cross stitching. She celebrated 51 years of marriage with the love of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard. She is survived by her husband, Joe, of Hendersonville, TN; sons, David of Hendersonville, TN, Daniel Kim Bayport, Long Island, NY, Brian Della Irvington, NY, Steven Emma, Hendersonville, TN. Daughter Laura Bryan Gachowski, of Ballston Lake, NY; sisters, Carolyn Shudt Ed, Dianne Fecko Max; brothers, Paul Savoie Nancy, Vincent Savoie Tina of Gansevoort; 11 grandchildren who meant the world to her and many nieces, nephews, and many friends. "Grateful for the care of Dr. Williams' office and nurses and Sarah Canon and all of my dear friends." In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Our Lady of the Lake Building Fund or the American Cancer Society. Visitation for Mrs. Lenz will be at Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 Johnny Cash Pkwy. Hendersonville, TN on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 19th at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Hendersonville, TN. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Saratoga National Cemetery, Saratoga, NY. hendersonvillefh.com 824-3855.
