Aubrey K. Butler, age 80 of Gallatin passed away March 28, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Butler, the youngest of 10 children, was born in Hartsville, TN on May 4, 1937 to the late Wig Thomas Butler and Versie Lee Butler. After graduating from Gallatin High School in 1956, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Aubrey later retired from Sears after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed being the family handyman, playing golf, being outdoors, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Hendersonville where he enjoyed attending the Fred Bracey Sunday School class. Aubrey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be sorely missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Reba Holmes, Charlene Snoddy, Mack Butler, Ed Butler, Wandalyn Simpkins and W. B. Butler. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Laura Joyce Butler; children, Beth Dyer, Doyle Butler, Amy Broaddus (Jerry), and Bridget Rice (Derrick); grandchildren, Mackenzie Dyer, Cassidy Dyer, Nathan Richardson (Anna Jane), Alaina Richardson, Taryn Carlee Butler, Zac Butler, and Wesley Butler; great-grandson, Casen Richardson; and brothers, George Butler, Bobby Butler, and E.H. Butler. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, March 30th at 12:30 P.M. at the Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 10 A.M. until 12 P.M.
