Ann Elizabeth "TJ" Hester

Ann “TJ” Hester, age 82, of Cottontown, went to be with the Lord, on March 8, 2025.

She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 1, 1942.

TJ was a woman of great faith, she loved her savior Jesus Christ. As a devout Christian she studied her Bible often and seized any opportunity to evangelize.

TJ was married to Sonny on January 28, 1983. Their marriage was full of adventure, both in business endeavors and in their hobbies. TJ and Sonny owned and operated a recycling business in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and an expedited shipping service in Portland, Tennessee. She loved to spend time with her family. TJ was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. No one could question how caring and supportive she was. TJ was a fiercely independent woman that embodied elegance and carried herself with grace.

To know her, was to love her. She will be dearly missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Frank “Sonny” Hester; father, Julian Hargrove; and mother, Emma Lou (Moore) Hargrove.

Ann Elizabeth “TJ” Hester is survived by her sons, Steve Collins (Lynn), Charles Collins (Connie), Robert Hill (Freda); step-children, Doug Smith, Christy Murphy (Scott), John Hester (Amy), Frankie Smallwood (Dan); grandchildren, Andrew Collins, James Collins, Christian Collins, Coy Hill; step-grandchildren, Johnny Hester, Joey Hester, Tyler Smith, Colton Murphy, Dominique Austin, Logan Smallwood, Kira Smallwood, Ariel Tipton (Giles); step-great-grandchildren, Weston Tipton, and Riverlyn Tipton.

Visitation will be held at Crestview Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., and again on Thursday, March 20, from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.

Tony King will be officiating the funeral service in honor of Ann “TJ” Hester, at 12:00 P.M.

Interment will immediately follow in Crestview Memory Gardens. Those serving as pallbearers are Coy Hill, Christian Collins, Andrew Collins, James Collins, Charles Collins, and Steve Collins. Honorary pallbearer Robert Hill.
